Hello! My name is Charlotte, and I am a nanny based in Portland. I have 10+ years of experience working with children ages infant-13, and I am licensed in CPR/First Aid Training, Bloodborne Pathogens, Behavioral Health Professional, Direct Support Professional, Trauma Informed, and Winterkids Training. I love to create a caring, safe, and fun environment for children and families, and enjoy facilitating activities, cooking, and cleaning. In May of 2016, I obtained my Bachelors degree in Social Work from the University of Southern Maine; there I gained extensive knowledge and experience which would serve me well in this career position. Additionally, I completed a nine-month field work internship at the Department of Health and Human Services in the Office of Child and Family Services, and service learning at Logan Place. Furthermore, I obtained an Associates Degree in Behavioral Health Studies and MHRT/C certification from York County Community College. My career Read more experiences as an Adult Program Coordinator, Direct Support Professional, and Behavioral Health Professional have given me an incredibly useful and relevant set of skills including client advocacy, case management, staff supervision and management, direct support of clients in home and day program settings, team oriented strategy, and more. I have advocated for seniors, adults, and children with a wide range of physical and mental diagnoses, and promoted growth and independence in each supported individual. In 2013 I worked as a Childcare Provider at Jo-Ann’s Children’s Center in Kennebunk, Maine. There, I cared for children ages infant through 12 years of age, and taught a preschool curriculum during the autumn months. Additionally, I have been employed as a private nanny for families in Southern Maine, where my duties ranged from supervision, to accompanying families on out-of-state vacations. I look forward to meeting you and your little one(s)!
