Hi I'm Lily! I grew up on a small farm with my 5 younger siblings and lots of pets. I've always been inspired by young minds, and the curiosity and wonder with which they view the world around them. In addition to taking care of my siblings (ages 1-17), I've babysat for friends and neighbors. I took a gap year after graduating in 2021 and worked on an organic dairy farm which offered many educational programs for youth in the local community. I led school tours and taught children about the importance of agriculture and animal husbandry, in addition to my general work on the farm. For a week in April and for multiple weeks in summer, I was a camp counselor for the farm camp program at the farm. I led activities, taught lessons, and interacted with children ages 6-15. I discovered how much I loved working with kids Read more and animals, and I had a lot of fun doing it. In addition to this work experience, I've worked informally at some local organic vegetable farms in my community, and my family's lumber mill throughout high school. This fall, I'll be studying pre-vet at the University of Maine with hopes of being a large animal veterinarian.
