I am eighteen years old and starting in the fall of 2013, I will be a freshman at Grand Valley State University. I have been a nanny for two wonderful children on and off for two years. Currently they are ages 6 and 10, and I watch them five days every other week from 7:30 am to 6 pm. I also have two nephews under the age of 6 that I am very comfortable taking care of when I am needed. I have always loved children, and after finishing medical school, I will pursue a career as a pediatric critical care doctor. I live on a farm so as a result, I am very comfortable with animals, especially dogs. As a part of the Miss Mattawan 2013 court, I participate in volunteer work often in food pantries and working with kids in the community. As a caregiver, I believe one Read more of the most important things is keeping children on a schedule as well as being physically active. I like to take the kids outside to play games, take walks, play in the park, etc. It is also very important to me to participate in educational activities with the children; things like museums, libraries, and nature centers. I genuinely care about each and every child I care for, and I do everything in my power to make it a positive experience for the child.
