Meet Kristin

I am 40 years old I am currently not working I have q children. 17 year old daughter a senior currently currently and my son is in 7th grade hes 13. My ex boyfriend had 4 children from a prior relationship. During the first year of his and I's relationship we had found out that their mother was going thur some things regarding her health and well being,, it was no longer safe for her children to be around her at that time. They came over one weekend and we decided it was in the children's best intrested that they stay with us. The judge awarded him full custody of his childern. 5 years we stayed together, which even though are differences and deciding to part ways I still have envolment with the children on a week to week basis. I love children and being from a family if divorce, Read more I understand how difficult it is for a child to experience loss from a parent including step parents. I went from single mom of 2 kids to 5 kids overnight living together 7 people all togetherduring the week to 8 every other weekend. I learned to cook for an army, his oldest had autism, With allergies to nuts. She came to my home eating very few options of food, I was able to introduce other many more options for her to try. Which eventually and to this day loves. "Can't wait for try it TUESDAY" I had to set eating schedules, bathing and bed schedules. Make sure everybody had snacks while doing homework after school. And all had been fed, bathed, and in bed at night. I've always been pretty crafty so cam come up with fun learning activities with them. A chore chart was set in place with a team building reward system. Their mother wasnt present, and either was my children's father. My boyfriend during this time worked in the afternoons till 3am, I made sure everyone got along and learned that working hard for theirself could be a reward later that would help the family at being a family, and being able to go special places together. I've also cared for infants off and on since I was 12 yrs old. I've always had a knack at teaching small children colors, letters, numbers, shapes etc. I make learning fun, keeping things light and funny all awhile accomplishing small important tasks. I use humor to get across to a child for them to learn if something was unacceptable, incorrect behavior, or hurting someone's feelings. I was a live in nanny to twin girls starting when they were 6months old till 2 yrs old when I was 19 yrs old.. Im very out going, great at multi tasking. My son had also been diagnosed with having behavioral impulsive control issues at 1yrs old,along with ADHD, my daughter having ADD. I've learned to use the if that didn't work try something else a try another way I've also worked with Alzheimer's and dementia patients off and on over the past 20 years. I have excellent patience always felt like my son was 10 kids in one. Both my kids are doing well in school and suceeding. Pat on the back,, I should say.. I enjoy helping little hands and hearts to become the perfect little humans. As for assisting with the elderly or helping with your little you's, I would love to meet you and your little one(s).
