Hi there! I have a wide variety of experience in a few different fields, however I have never enjoyed anything more than making a difference in a child's life. I am an experienced EMT, so I do have BLS certification as well as my CPR certification. I originally intended to be a Physicians Assistant when I entered school, however, I have since switched to a Psychology major. I have been blessed with having an experience as a live in Nanny for a 4 year old boy for about 6 months. I can honestly say that this experience was life changing and it opened my eyes to what really brings me joy and sparks my passion for caring for others in not just a medical sense. That being said, as a nanny, I understand how to get down on your child's level, and form a relationship based on trust and genuine Read more care and concern for the child's well being. I love playing and sparking their imagination through various creative activities. I am an artist myself (no worries, I know how to contain and clean a mess as well :) ) but I also know that boundaries and structure are key to development of children into kind, caring and responsible adults. I have worked as a caregiver to multiple children at a time since I was in middle school and can handle larger groups of kids at a time. But I am really looking to work with one or two children at a time, and really creating a bond with them. I believe there are two very important aspects to being a caregiver for small children. First and foremost being able to care for and ensure their safety on a physical as well as emotional level. Second, to act as a role model. Children are very observant beings, and when they spend a significant amount of time with someone, they can pick up on many behaviors even on a subconscious level. I try to live my life according to a set of values that are very important to me. Honesty, compassion, authenticity, and courage. I truly believe I can be an excellent companion and supporter to your children and they will be in excellent hands until their parent/s return home to them at the end of the day. I also do not mind doing household chores such as laundry, cleaning and preparing healthy meals for the kid/s. Please feel free to call or email me if you have any further questions and to discuss the specifics of your expectations to see if we may be a good fit. I look forward to hopefully giving you peace of mind in knowing your lil' treasures as well as your home are in good hands.
