Hi! My name is Michele which rhymes with "swell" and I take rhymes very seriously ;). My husband and I recently moved to Dexter from Switzerland ("my 30-year language school") where I used to work as a primary school teacher in an International School. I In working as an educator and caregiver I have always been in favor of an approach that acknowledges children's natural eager to learn and initiate learning in a supportive, thoughtfully prepared learning environment. I will often exhilarate that environment with a spoon full of sugar but otherwise do not work with recipes as each child is unique and needs to be studied and respected in its individuality. I have both the curiosity and patience to do that. In my purse/backpack I usually carry around a camera, a book and flyers of the next Encore Theatre show. The rest of the weight must belong to my Read more profuse imagination. If I could jump into a picture, it would be one of the Cinderella castle inviting me to spend a jolly holiday at Disney World. I have a passion for storytelling and great pictures and my art to express myself is photography and videography. It is therefore quite likely that your children's adventures with me and their giggles will be captured on camera. I consider God my chief executive officer in every job I do and his direction has never failed me. I want to be the person our dogs think I am. I miss them very much. I like wearing an apron, am currently growing a green thump and can think of a hundred ways to make tidying up a fun chore. Now for my educational background: English was my major in high school. I don't speak it flawlessly but progressively. My mother tongue is German, my accent is Swiss. I speak fluent French and Italian. After high school I spent two years studying Communication Sciences at the University of Lugano before I switched to Education. I have taken our move to the U.S. as a perfect starting point for my new career as a photographer. I am progressively building my skills and portfolio and taking classes at the WCC.
