Meet Theo

I am a warm, energetic, developmentally-focused nanny, with experience working with ages 2 mo. to 14 years. My style of teaching and care was primarily formed during my experience in the MSU elementary education program, the top program in the nation, my experience working in child development laboratories and research, and my experience touring Europe learning about alternative approaches to learning. I tend to be a silly, fun, compassionate nanny, though I am very experienced in the realm of behavioral intervention and keep firm, consistent standards in order to encourage trust and stability in the lives of the children I care for. I’m very passionate about encouraging children to take their questions to the ends of the earth, often turning simple curiosity into extended projects where the children lead the learning and I assist as their co-learner! I’ve had wonderful experiences in both Montessori (limited) and Reggio-inspired environments.
