Janelle’s Bio I've always had a love for children, and began babysitting with my older sister when I was 10 years old. I currently volunteer twice a month in the nursery at my church, and have volunteered in the nursery, preschool, and primary levels at church in the past. I have a current background clearance (Feb '17) , am trained in infant, child, & adult CPR, and also First Aid. I also have a degree and career background in Dental Hygiene. My latest career was working for a non-profit organization that served the needs of adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. I was responsible for providing direct care (bathing, feeding, medications, Dr visits) in addition to helping each individual learn and develop appropriate life and social skills. This involved assessing strengths/weaknesses, interests through exploration, and subsequent goal-setting. It took a lot of heart, soul, patience, flexibility and adaptability, as no 2 days were ever the same.
