I am 22 year old student, my major is education. I have 10 years experience with child care. I started off babysitting relatives and I began facilitating in the nursery at my church since the age of 12. I was the Lead teacher to children ages 6 mos-1 yr old. There would be 2-4 infants at all times. I implemented schedule as far as feeding, changing, and play. In high school worked in a program called lift up through literacy where I was a daycare worker for kids between the ages of 1-5 yrs old. I have had the pleasure of babysitting children anywhere from 3 months old to 14 years old. I enjoy interacting with the kids giving them opportunities to use their imaginations to create! At 18, I started working as a para professional for a elementary school which I did for two years. In this position I Read more was able to aide the teacher with learning strategies and also implement new ideas to work with for students who needed more direct attention in smaller groups or even one on one help. I don't have any kids of my own yet but I do get to help raise my nephew who is almost two years old.
