My name is Kali Pierce, and I have a lot of different work experiences that make me a good fit for a care giving position. I started off working, as most teenage girls do, by babysitting kids around the neighborhood. I kept up babysitting through high school and part of college, as it was always a passion of mine. I loved spending time with kids and playing sports with them, helping them with their homework, teaching them to play the piano, or doing arts and crafts, among many other activities. Through high school, I also spent time coaching children's gymnastics and tutoring high school chemistry. I went to Michigan State University and majored in human biology, having found a passion for healthcare. I think all my years of working with and coaching kids, made me realize how much I loved to work with people and wanted to help them. I Read more went and received my certification in CPR/first aid, as well as my certified nursing assistant license. I spent the rest of my college experience working with the elderly in a local nursing home, and immensely loved my time there. It just verified what I already knew; that I belong in a job that allows me to work with people, and help them. I one day hope to attend nursing school, and become a nurse practitioner. However, for the time being, I am taking a class at a time at the local university to finish up my pre-requisites and pay off some of my student loans. I would love the opportunity to find a family to welcome me into their home as a caregiver.
