Hi! My name is Chelsie! I just turned thirty in May and own my home in good ole Mattawan. I have taken care of children ever since I can remember. To be exact, I babysat at eight years old in return for hip hop/jazz classes-for an 8 year old, this was better than cash! I continued to babysit as their family grew. As young as I started, I felt like a professional. Today, that same family are incredibly close family friends whom I’ve just watched the youngest graduate high school! Talk about feeling old… Through middle school and most of high school, I was contacted almost weekly but new/regular families to babysit. Even at a young age myself, I always took it 100% serious and took much pride in my abilities. After I graduated and had more time on my hands, I began working at a daycare! One of those Read more gym drop-in centers with children of all ages. This experience was an even more eye opener for me as I realized that working with little ones was truly my passion. Without “marketing” myself, parents were seeking me to watch their children in their homes. Date nights, morning help, full days and even overnights-I did it all! Shortly before the gym had closed its doors, I met my last family that I would nanny for. A family of SIX that I was honorably apart of for four years. I loved them as my own and was very involved in their daily lives. From school concerts, Saturday morning tennis, or Friday night swim class, I was present. Sadly, they were a military family that relocated to Japan! 8 years later, I am still in touch! At twenty one, I started working at a gym as a representative. I received multiple leadership development sessions and was promoted to general manager for my remaining 7 years of employment. Unfortunately, this company took many strides to a more corporate setting that no longer aligned with my personal core values. I know what you’re thinking…corporate manger to nanny!? I’ve had time to re-focus and reconsider what’s most important to me and where can I let my passion unfold. In 2015, I became a mother to my very own who has they key to my heart. He’s six and a half now and a very well mannered, sweet boy. I consider myself to be a responsible, selfless, genuine and humorous person. I have a wonderful family and a loving home.
