I earned my B. A. in psychology and sociology and currently am in my second year of graduate school to receive my PhD in psychology. I have been trained and have clinical experience working with children, including those with emotional and developmental difficulties. Further, my training has provided me with a strength in developing recommendations and interventions to aid individuals with academic difficulties and general functioning. In past summers I have worked as a camp counselor (5 years). My job as a counselor was not only taking on the responsibility for the well being and safety of the children but also to create a cultivating and entertaining environment. I strive for kids to have fun everyday by maintaining my own enthusiasm and energy. I am looking for a position with children part time for summer working with a family who values positive forms of parenting, education, and child development.
