From the age of 11 years old, when I first started babysitting, I fell in love with this profession. Nurturing and enjoying the different developmental stages of children is especially rewarding. After graduating high school I was a Live-in Nanny for a 2 year old girl for a year then moved on to a family with a 4 month old son. I was a nanny with this family for over 3 years, they now had 2 boys ( 3 1/2 years and 1year). After leaving this family is when I got married then had 4 children of my own. Once they were all of school age I became an after school caregiver at their school. Within 4 years of being of employed I worked my up to sight supervisor, staff trainer and was also duel employed at their schools sister Montessori Child Care Center. My main duty at the Montessori Read more school was to help out in the all rooms throughout the entire center, from the infant room to their Pre-K room. While employed at these 2 schools I was certified by the Red Cross in First Aid and CPR yearly, as well as having Blood Borne Pathogen training. Yearly it was required to have 16 hours of additional training in the child care field. I'm a positive, task and detail orientated, self starter that is driven to succeed from the feeling of helping others through caring for them and their loved ones.
