I am a nurturing, active and fun-loving 44-year old woman. I enjoy organizing activities and meals for my family, then enjoying the fruits of my labors. Athletics, music, church, and, of course, my family, are the center of my heart and life. I grew up the middle of seven children on a cash-crop farm in Racine, WI. My youngest sibling, and only boy, was born with Down Syndrome. This is where I learned the value of hard work and the importance of family ties. While I was a student at an all-teacher's training college in New Ulm, MN, decided to take a year off of school to nanny for a family with 2 young children on Long Island, NY. It was well worth the experience! Once returning to that same college to complete my degree, I was a nanny for 3 children in Racine, WI (my home town) during a Read more summer vacation. Since the age of 13, the bulk of my employment has been babysitting, Para-professional work, teaching Preschool and second grade, and with my own children, ages 18 and 11. I am currently employed by Owosso Public Schools in a Preschool classroom. I enjoy the children, but wish to take a break from the rigors of organized education at this point of my life. I love children, though, and know from past experience that this is the right time to begin an experience with a family who values my qualities, and recognizes my dedication to give the best possible love and care to their family.
