With over 20 years of experience in the field of childcare - from babysitting, to full time nanny, to the successful running of a weekly mother and toddler group - I have all the skills necessary to meet whatever childcare needs your family require. Beyond the basic nurturing of the children in my care, I like to focus on fun through education and games, the partaking of sport and physical activity, and as many arts and crafts as humanly possible. I am also a trained cook and extremely focused on providing good, healthy food where that is required. I have experience working with children aged from 12 months to 16 years, and am also parent to an 18 year old daughter of my own. I have also served as registered carer to my autistic brother, and minded a child with ADHD who possessed an extremely gifted intellect. I do not yet have my American drivers license, so am limited in the areas I am able to work (as far as my bike will carry me!) until I have procured this. I can provide all police background checks from England, a full vaccination record since arriving in the US, plus proof of eligibility to work. I do not have my American CPR certification as of yet but am in the process of obtaining this. I do not have any preferences when it comes to how many children, the ages, or the gender of children in my care. I'm happy to work with an only child, or a tribe of fearsome kiddies - I enjoy them all. I am also happy/able to provide homework help to older children, to help with chores about the home. Basically, if Mary Poppins was down with it, I'm down with it too. Children are awesome. I believe childcare should be just as awesome.
