My name is Abigail Merck and I am 20 years old. I am from Ham Lake, MN and am currently attending Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas. There I am studying to receive a bachelors degree in nursing. Since I am in nursing school, I have completed BLS training (which is basic life support training: CPR training for healthcare professionals) and have worked with children through my clinical experiences. I have always enjoyed and feel very confident working with children. I am the middle child (number 6) of a family of 10 (4 boys and 6 girls), so I have been around kids my whole life. We currently have a pet dog (a miniature golden doodle) and I feel comfortable around pets. I grew up helping my mom take care of my little siblings, cleaning around the house, doing laundry, driving and running errands, and cooking meals. I have experience working at the Church of Read more St. Paul nursery, leading vacation bible school camps, babysitting my 7 nieces, and being a personal care attended (PCA) for a 15-year-old boy with Down Syndrome (which was through the company Accra). Last summer, I worked in Ireland as an Residential Activity Leader for children ages 10-18. I enjoy playing sports (I grew up playing basketball and Tennis), cooking, baking, arts and crafts, and playing piano.
