Hello, my name is Sherryl Rotert. I live in Belle Plaine, MN, with my husband and two dogs. Most of my career choices have centered around caring for children or teaching in an educational setting. I have been a "PCA," personal care attendant for disabled children and worked in several public daycares before I started my career in the schools. I am just finishing up a temporary Nanny position and would like to continue my career in that role. Prior to that I spent the last five years as a substitute teacher in the district where I live. I have a degree in Elementary Education and have experience teaching in grades preschool through sixth grade. The nanny position that I'm currently doing has rewarded me with such a rich and positive experience that I've decided to stay in this role. I am a nanny and I'm a teacher and that Read more combined role is a great fit for me and such a bonus for parents. I have a great love of family and a passion for gardening and canning. I enjoy reading, crafts, cooking, baking, animals, and the outdoors. I use my enthusiasm to teach others and I'm easily motivated by the excitement and wonder of children. I am hoping to find a family who enjoys my personality and style. I am fun, motivated, and creative with a silly-heart that children enjoy. As a childcare provider, I have been certified in CPR every two years. Current inservice trainings though school includes: Blood-borne pathogens, inhalers, epi-pens, AEDs, allergies, first-aid, severe bleeding, seizures, and CPR. I like to connect activities with an educational piece which may be as simple as sharing my knowledge, a story, a short video, a field trip, or creating a final project. A final project might be making a homemade pizza, a mini-pie, a gingerbread house, slime, scavenger hunts, a tie-blanket, or a craft.
