Hello! My name is Julia, I’m 30 years old, and I was born and raised in Minnesota. I’ve been working as an independent nanny for the past several years for a few families. I have experience with a wide array of ages and ability levels, from infant to teens. I most recently was a nanny part time for a family with three boys under 4 years old. Prior to becoming a nanny, I worked as a direct support professional and independent living skills counselor in a group home and in community based settings. I worked with individuals with severe and persistent mental illnesses and neurodivergent individuals, helping them learn life and coping skills. I have also worked with children with autism and Down Syndrome during my time as a nanny. I am very contentious about safety, and am fully vaccinated against COVID. I have ten plus years of child care and related experience and am CPR and first aid trained. I have also taken child development safety courses including SIDS and head trauma. In my free time I enjoy photography, arts and crafts, gardening, and spending time with my fiancé up north anywhere near Lake Superior. I worked for nearly 20 years at a Montessori school with preschool and toddler age children. For primarily 15 of those years I was the assistant toddler teacher and the last about 5 years I was the school closet. I also worked at 2 other child care centers in the preschool classrooms. I also worked part-time and subbed at an in-home daycare. My sister and I ran the daycare, took care of their cat while they were on a vacation.
