Hello! I am on here because I have a passion for children! There is something so rewarding about working with children and seeing them learn and grow! Let me tell you a little bit about me! My husband and I just moved to MN a year and half ago from IA- we love it here! In my free time I enjoy taking walks, being creative, baking/cooking, and exploring all the fun things MN has to offer! :) For personal experience with children, I grew up with a sister that was 12 years younger than me, so I had a lot of experience helping out, and lucky for mom & dad, they had a live in babysitter! :) I also had babysitting jobs throughout the years. Professionally, I went to ISU to obtain my Bachelor's Degree in Child Family Services. I have had a couple different experiences after college working in Read more childcare centers. I have worked with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Each of these ages has such fun developmental stages! In my positions I was required to attend to the children's basic needs (feeding/diapering/helping with hygiene), organize and lead activities to designed to promote physical, mental, and social development, and meet with parents to discuss the progress and needs of their children. Beyond guiding the children to learn and grow, making a connection and relationship with parents is also a very rewarding experience. I believe in positive reinforcement & redirection, consistency, kiddo dance parties(gotta shake the wiggles out! :D ), celebrating the little things in life, being crafty & using your imagination, getting kiddos in the kitchen, and field trips (library, picnics, ice cream, pumpkin patch)! I do have CPR/First Aid training and am willing to do some light cleaning, meal prep, errands, and I love pets! :) I look forward to having an opportunity to meeting a wonderful family!
