My name is Riley Olson and I have been working at Adventures Plus for 3 years now. Adventures Plus is a before and after school program where kids kindergarten through 5th grade come and we take care of them for 2-3 hours before and/or after school. While working here I have had first aid training and I am CPR certified. Right now I am working on getting a promotion which means I have to do online training in my free time. These training help me become better as a leader around kids and support children with special needs. I first become a caregiver because, well, I needed hours for my civics class in high school. So I volunteered at Adventures Plus and I loved. I only needed 5 hours of community service but I did nearly 50 because I loved it so much. As soon as I was old enough Read more I got a job there. A real paying job. I soon realized I really love doing this. I not only wanted to make sure the children were having fun and enjoying themselves but I wanted to help them in any way possible. Helping them get a bandaid, feel less anxious on a field trip, etc.
