I am just getting started as a nanny. I am a mother, grandmother, daycare substitute and housekeeper. I have been an as-needed daycare sub for about 5 years, working alone to care for more than 10 children at a time. The children range from 3 months to about age 8. While I am there, I provide for all of the needs, such as: bottles, diapers, lunch, naps, potty-training, first-aid, activities, reconciliations, and more. To become certified I had to pass a background check, and take the required courses, which are; First-Aid, CPR, SIDS/SUIDS, and Shaken Baby Syndrome. I also have to take a refresher course every other year.
