Hello! I have been working with kids for the past 10 years in a variety of areas. While in College I taught piano and violin to Elementary age kids in the South Suburbs of Minneapolis. While still teaching piano and violin I stepped into the role of Interim Children’s Teacher for Redeemer Covenant Church in Brooklyn Park. I was in charge of planning Children’s Church and teaching every Sunday. Even though I left the paid position I still volunteer in the Children’s Ministry. In 2010 I began as an Assistant Float Teacher for KinderCare in Coon Rapids, MN. At KinderCare I assisted in all of the classrooms from Infant Classroom to School Age Classroom. I also stepped into the role as Prek Teacher for a few months. I left KinderCare to work for a family as their Nanny in April 2012. The family I worked for had 4 children ages Read more 3 months, 3 yrs, 4yrs, and 10 yrs old when I started. I was their full time nanny. I Started at 7:15 am and left usually by 5:30 at the latest. I was responsible for helping the children get ready for the day, pick up and drop off form school/extracurricular activities, planning outings to the zoo, parks, museums etc, and making breakfast and lunch and some dinner meal prep, overseeing playdates. For the 3 kids that stayed home when I started I planned weekly themes and activities. We did science projects, crafts, and baking/cooking activities. I left being their Nanny in April of 2014 when I was going to have my first child. I decided to stay home for our little ones first year of life. I returned working this past fall as a Supervisor for a Before and After School Care program for Jenison (Michigan) Publics Early Childhood Center. The students were in Preschool to Pre-Kindergarten. I am in charge of 6 staff members for the Morning and Afternoon shifts. I plan art projects, games, and facilitating free play. I was in charge of keeping track of attendance, monthly newsletters, and keeping up with Daycare Licensing Rules and communication with the parents. On days the weather was not suitable to go outside we would do special activities. We either do a special craft or do a big activity in the gym like an obstacle course or a game. At the end of the school year we are moving back to Minneapolis. I am looking for summer Nanny Employment. Contact me and we can discuss your Nanny Needs!
