I am a patient, caring and fun-loving 30 year old sitter and nanny. As a nanny, I keep a fairly regular routine for my charges, which includes engaging the children in meaningful play and activities. I regularly plan age-appropriate outings, arts and crafts, reading, time outdoors, time with friends and quiet time. I believe that play is vitally important for learning, and I encourage imagination, curiosity and engagement with the world. I am also health-conscious, and this is reflected in the types of activities, meals and snacks that I choose. I watch for opportunities to reinforce good behavior with praise, and remind them how to engage in social situations, by giving consistent, gentle reminders of proper conduct when appropriate. I consider this to be one of my most important roles. As an Au-Pair in Germany, I provided care for two girls, aged 6 and 9. I do speak German, and Read more would be willing to teach or speak German to my charges, if wished. I am also currently an after school voice and piano teacher with the Minnetonka public school system, and would be happy to include teaching music as part of my role as a nanny if desired. I love working with my Minnetonka students, which range from 5-15 years old. Throughout my adult life, I have also served as a babysitter for many friends and acquaintances, and have gained invaluable experience with toddlers and infants in this capacity. On top of my experience, I also have a spotless background and driving history. I have been certified in CPR and First Aid, and am safety conscious at all times.
