My name is Selaima Mockovciak. In the classroom I am known as "Ms. Ima"(pronounced ee-ma). I grew up in the Fiji Islands, in the South Pacific. My husband James, eleven year old son and I moved to Minnesota a year ago from Denver, CO. I have worked for twenty five years in the field of Early Childhood Ed. In addition to teaching for many years, I directed an international preschool and directed a teacher training program in Hawaii. The highlight of my career has been the opportunity to facilitate preschool development projects in several countries around the world, and developing culturally relevant/developmentally appropriate curriculum. As a mother, educator and wife, working with children and their families to ensure their sucess has, is and will always be my passion.
