I have cared for friend's and family's kiddos for many years of their lives. Getting to watch them grow over the years has been one of the coolest things I've experienced. I've cared for kids from babies all the way to eight or nine, but have primarily worked with toddlers aged 2-4. During the 2017-18 school year, I tutored K-2 children to improve their reading skills, as a member of Minnesota Reading Corps. One of the things I loved about this role was spending one-on-one time with the kids and getting to know them, and being a positive role model for them.
