Hello there! My name is Gina and I have worked with children for over 25 years as a professional teacher. I have a BS Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Minnesota. I have worked in many childcare settings with a diverse range of children, colleagues, and parents. I currently work in a charter school in Saint Paul, teaching and assisting Special Education children in both junior and senior high. I have had so many wonderful opportunities while working with children and my favorite thing is to watch them learn, grow, and develop as well as nurture their natural curiosity about the world around them. I have lead parent workshops on conflict resolution with children as well as having attended several workshops throughout my career to keep current on my professional development within the Early Childhood profession. I have also have had several background checks through DHS and Read more have passed each check with ease. I am happy to provide any references regarding my teaching and caring skills with kids. I enjoy talking and interacting with children who are verbal and non-verbal, singing, being active in and outdoors, and providing opportunities for children to actively participate in the world around them. I provide safety and comfort when they are feeling unsure or afraid and reassure them that I am there to help. I am very hands on with children and am clear about my expectations. I provide positive and encouraging feedback as well as guide them through difficult experiences and provide courage to try difficult tasks.
