hello! i’m kira. I’ve been working as a nanny, babysitter, and caregiver in the twin cities area for the last 8 years. Along with my nannying work, I have experience as a reading and writing tutor, which I love and am happy to bring to any position. My goal with families is to provide support in whatever way makes sense for you, whether that means cooking, food prep, childcare, cleaning, tutoring or transportation. Cooking is a passion of mine and I am always excited to share that with families (and I’m used to cooking for picky eaters). Some of my favorite things to do with children are art, reading, and spending time outside. I believe playtime with children is vital to developing and sustaining a healthy relationship. I’m always happy to sit on the floor and play, build forts, games, etc. It’s very important to me children are treated with Read more respect. I value their autonomy, curiosity, opinions, feelings, and of course their sweetness. Outside of work, I have a dog and some cats that I love to spend time with. I’m a homebody and enjoy hosting my loved ones. If I’m not at home, you can probably find me with my grandma or at a body of water. My hobbies include reading, art, writing, cooking and baking. I studied American Sign Language in college at St.Catherine University, graduating in 2020; I have working fluency in ASL.
