I've been babysitting for many years - I'm the youngest of 4 girls in my family, and my older sisters naturally passed down their babysitting jobs to me. I've cared for children of many different families, and I've had the privilege of having long-term jobs with several of those families. I have four nephews who are all under the age of 10, and I've had such a fun time learning more about childcare as I've taken care of my own nephews. My favorite thing about nannying is watching little people grow into big personalities. I love learning about different families and individuals. I try to make parents as comfortable as possible through open communication - I appreciate direction, feedback, etc. I am flexible, and I do my best to make my time together with children edifying! After college, I nannied full time, until my husband and I relocated for his Read more grad school training. This past year, I have been teaching English online to children ages 4-15. Due to the odd hours of this teaching job, I am available during the days and evenings. I thoroughly enjoy my teaching, but I would love to connect with a family to exchange my remote work for face-to-face work with little people! Please note, my husband is a physical therapist who works with patients throughout the day. He wears PPE and washes his hands incessantly when interacting with patients and coworkers. To date, we have not been exposed to COVID. I am located in Old Town, Alexandria. I share a car with my husband, who typically uses the car for his work.
