My name is Michala Mattingly, and I am currently a student at Truman State University. I've been babysitting since I was 13, and I've realized how much I love interacting with children during that time. I've had experience with children of various ages, but my most recent experience has been watching my twin niece and nephew who will be turning 2 in June. Watching them has helped me improve my multi-tasking and organizational skills, and I've learned so much just by being around them. I am a Communication Disorders major and a Psychology minor, so I've had coursework in child and language development; I'm aware of the milestones and appropriate development that children go through and how to appropriately foster and help that growth. I absolutely love children and would love to spend the summer while I'm home with them, helping them learn and grow.
