Hello! I have a degree in Education and over 25 years of experience working with children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old in a daycare/preschool environment. After working in preschool management for several years, I learned I really missed working directly with the children. I started as a nanny in January 2021 and I know it's what I am truly called to do! I am a loving and professional caregiver, and am very knowledgeable in child development and age-appropriate activities and learning milestones. I feel very comfortable working alongside parents, but also do very well working without supervision. I enjoy sharing my thoughts with parents and believe it is very important to work in-sync with them, as we are all on the same team! I believe children of all ages thrive best when they are on a schedule, and will definitely work with parents on developing a schedule if Read more needed. I enjoy spending time outdoors and will take whatever activities I can outside with the children! I feel comfortable with feeding, changing, bathing, dressing, and transporting children of all ages. As I have a passion for working with children, I believe my main responsibility as a nanny would be to providing an overall environment that enables the children to safely learn and play. I love to facilitate activities that children love, and let them explore as much as they enjoy. My view on discipline is that children need and crave boundaries, so letting them know my expectations and following through is a must! Having patience with children, as well as using clear and simple communication, will help them be receptive to requests, and also helps to develop the bond between us. I also believe some of my other duties and responsibilities would be to help keep the children’s living spaces clean; to prepare meals for the children according to their specific needs and taste; to take care of the children's laundry; and to transport children to any scheduled activities. I feel blessed to be called to work with children and their families. I truly believe it take a "village" to raise a child, and I look forward to being a part of that!
