I am 23 years old, from a big family, and I absolutely love kids. I have lots of nieces and nephews and I've so enjoyed watching them grow up and being as involved in that process as I can be. I think my favorite thing about children is their honesty and their sincerity. I recently graduated with my Bachelor's degree in Music from a college here in Kansas City, and I plan to eventually go back to school to get my Master's degree in counseling, and eventually, my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. My passion in life is people. I love learning about personalities, habits, and things that make people distinct and individual. That being said, my love for people definitely carries over into my love for children. I love watching children's personalities develop and getting to know them as people. My goal in care giving is to nurture and love Read more the kids I'm watching, to make them feel safe, valuable, and understood, and above all to help them feel well cared for while their parents are gone. I also love making it a point to find fun things to do with kids rather than just plopping down in front of the TV all day. I would love taking kids swimming, to the park, or really anything that gets them outside and active. Of course, watching TV can be fun too, but there are definitely more fun things to do outside of that as well. I love cooking and would happily prepare meals for kids and even let them help if they wanted to be involved! I'm totally willing to learn about their favorite snacks and meals to make sure they feel as comfortable as possible. I have no specific way of doing things or routines that I demand to stick to. I'm super flexible so my ideal situation would be to jump into whatever routine or system you've already established for your children to make the transition as easy for them as possible.
