I have worked 4 years in childcare as a daycare teacher. I planned lessons for the kids depending on age, did snacks, lunches, outside times, diaper changes, naps etc. . I come from a very big family as well. I’ve always been around and loved taking care of children. I am CPR and First Aid trained. I’m 22 years old and in December I will have two Bachelor science degrees in Criminology/Criminal Justice and Crime Scene Investigation. I went to Nursing school for a year but decided to take a break partly for my mental health and also because of COVID. My whole life I have loved children and grew up babysitting my 6 cousins lots of times as well as my own special needs brother. My cousins were aged 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, and 6 months when I first began in high school. The oldest child is special needs and needs extra care such as tube feeding. I also grew up with a special needs older brother who could not talk or walk. I would always play with him/entertain him, help clean and change his diaper, and help feed him. I always put others first in my care and care about their comfort and feelings. He passed away unfortunately, but he had such an impact on me and my heart. Being with kids is such a rewarding job to see them grow and change. In the past three years, I have seen so many kids grow up and it's incredible to see and be there to witness it. I couldn't imagine having any other job than working with kids. I also am somewhat of a “magnet” for children. I have been told many times that children are “attracted to my energy”, they always smile, and want me to hold them.
