Hello! My name is Audrey, I am 20 years old and currently in my last year of my “two year gap year” between high school and college. During this time I have worked at Panera while also traveling as much as I could, as well as gaining childcare related experience. During high school I also attended an early childhood professions and development program for two years. I interned at local preschools and elementary schools teaching and interacting with the children. Within the classroom we were taught teaching strategies, child development, and put together lesson plans. After high school, I au paired in Italy for two months for a family in Milan. And then I went to a children’s center/school in Mombasa, Kenya where I taught English and helped care for the children for three months.
