While in high school, I worked at a local daycare providing childcare for up to 10 children at a time. The ages ranged from 2 months to 10 years. More recently, I began watching my nieces and nephews on an as needed basis but am looking for something more stable. I try to limit time on iPads and game systems as I feel that creativity and imagination are vital to children's wellbeing. I enjoy going on outings with children and focus on making everything a learning experience in a fun and exciting way. I am incredibly patient with children and show them that if they show me respect they will get mine in return. I never raise my voice--I simply identify what the issue is by asking questions and take it from that point. I also like to show children that being polite and having manners is very important.
