I have worked in childcare for the past seven years. The first five of those years were spent caring for children at Kindercare learning centers. I worked in the two year old preschool program and in the infant care room. I loved both age groups, and I especially enjoyed helping children learn through exploration of their creativity. As well as having great relationships with my students, I enjoyed getting to know their parents and communicating about their child's development. The experience of working at Kindercare made me realize I want to be a special education teacher. I began nannying once I returned to school. I worked for the same family for two years, with children aged 3, 6, and 8. I was very sad to leave this position, but I moved from Chicago to St. louis and could no longer work with them. I have began working in the evenings with one two year old girl. I am looking to add some morning hours and or weekend hours to my schedule.
