I am 53 years old. I have more than 20 years of experience in the childcare field. I have been both a lead teacher for privately run daycares as well as running my family childcare home. I left the early childhood field in 2003 to pursue a career working with individuals with intellectual disabilities. I returned to school in 2015 and received my associate's degree in Early childhood education from MGCCC in May of 2017. I am currently pursuing an online bachelors degree in Child and Family studies from the University of Southern Mississippi. I have five grandchildren ranging in age from birth to 13.
