I am 20 years old and enjoy reading, writing, crafts, the great outdoors and much much more. I'm a sophomore in college, majoring in English and minoring in political science. I have been CPR and First Aid certified, but have to renew my license for it. I have been caring for children since I was 9 and my youngest sibling was born, mostly just watching and helping out with him, by the time I was 13 I had two more younger siblings to help with and had started volunteering at a migrant and seasonal head start that cared for children anywhere from 6 months to 6 years of age. I started babysitting for family and friends and got a job at a drop-in daycare center, primarily in the infant room, working with any little one who did not know how to walk. Most of my experience is with infants and Read more toddlers , but I did take an early childhood development course and got to teach preschool classes and helped with preschool classes at the drop-in center when needed. That being said, I have cared for infants only days old all the way up to preteens 12 years old. I have a lot of experience taking care of 3+ kids at a time and have an abundance of patience. I have cared for children with special needs and have siblings with both social and learning disorders. Most importantly I love children and enjoy caring for them and encouraging them to laugh and grow.
