Hello, My name is Jorie (said like Tori, with a J). I am a 36 year old Outward Bound Instructor, (CPR and First Aid Certified) and I have a clean driving record. I am starting my own business, and looking for small ways to make money while I get it off the ground. I have been babysitting and teaching for over 25 years. I have experience with newborns and children up through their teenage years. I have worked as a nanny to up to 5 kids (as long as their ages are varied) and I can also create fun for a single child. I love adventures, so getting out of town with your family might be the perfect way for all of us to have a good time! I love the beach, hiking, biking, climbing mountains, or just playing in the back yard. I also have experience working with children Read more with developmental differences, and have been an Adaptive ski coach and para professional with students with Autism, dyslexia and ADHD among other things. I am open minded, compassionate and sensitive to people's various needs. Having grown up with a brother with learning disabilities gave me a very appreciative perspective of people who see and live in the world differently than the status- quo. I enjoy getting outside with children and doing activities that help develop their body mind connection, such as: yoga, imaginative play acting, and games that involve gesture and emotional expression. I am organized, creative and artistic, and I like to do arts and crafts projects; I also love to sing, and do theater, so if your children or child likes to get creative we can make that happen as well. I hope I am the right fit for your family. I look forward to hearing from you! References will be provided upon request.
