An ideal fit would be someone who wants childcare and welcomes a playmate (my LO is 8 months). I find that unpaid experience is often more valuable than theoretical childcare knowledge and being a mom definitely means I’m comfortable with tantrums, schedules, blow out diapers etc. Prior to being a mom I was a healthcare provider and a babysitter before that. I am very familiar with safety standards, milestones and child development. I believe in setting a fair rate (some people are expensive!!) so you don’t change to choose between good childcare and leaving the house.
