Hello! My name is Lori and I am a mother to 3 amazing daughters ages 21,18,13. I enjoyed raising my girls, and feel it is an honor to be called mom! I have always been interested in childcare.Loving and nurturing them to enable them to grow into strong , intelligent adults. I believe every child has the potential to learn and it is my job to make it fun. I started my career at the age of 18 when I traveled to Germany to be a nanny. I remember feeling honored that someone trusted me to care for their children. I have taken classes on early childhood education but having and raising my own kids got in the way of completing that degree. When my children were growing up I owned and operated a home day care. I loved being able to care for my children while providing loving care Read more to other children. I moved to NC from MI 3 years ago. after getting to know the area I took a position at The Goddard School in Concord. I worked there from 1/2013 till 5/2014 when I moved to the Matthews area. I then began working at the Goddard school in Matthews. I worked there from 5/2014 to 01/2015. I loved my job but felt as though I wasn't given the opportunity to spend the quality time I wanted with each child. I feel the teacher to child ratio is to high. While working at the preschool I also provided care for other families. I found that I enjoyed that more than working in a center environment . I am hoping to not just find any family but the right family. I am first aid and cpr certified and can provide references upon request.
