hello my fellow mommies and daddies out there! My name is Lauren and I am 35 years old and one of the very rare native charlatans left! My amazing, loving, patient and optimistic husband, daughter's and I live in Ballantyne with our 16mth old daughter and our (almost!!) 3 year old daughter! They both COLOR OUR WORLD'S! And now and now our (Swim and) Raquet club, the various 'Spraygounds' around the metro area and our YMCA membership have been life/sanity savers!! Not to mention, my children's behavior is extremely good. I can't take that credit away from them!! Regardless, I'm sure especially now after reading what about my reality as of current... why I would want to add more child-related responsibilities to my G/PG rated life, as opposed to trying to seeking out more adult time. We all need time away, regardless of the reason.. even if a reason exists at all!! We're parents. That's reason (beyond) enough! I'll sufficient answer when I figure it out even for my own sake! Until then here's my short story..in a nutshell: As an undergraduate (I hold a B.A. in Psychology; my main focus being Childhood & Adolescent Psychology) my only positions, aside from full-time student, was being a nanny for two separate families back-to-back; each family I worked for initially required 2 years of employment. One family consisted of twin 4yr old boys. The 2nd an 6 and 10yr old. I did everything with these families they entrusted me so much that being a mommy now is solely how I can comprehend it. The bonds built between the families and I are never to be broken.
