I've always loved working with children and knew that as soon as I turned 18 I wanted to work part time at a daycare. In May of 2016, upon completion of my freshman year at NC State, I started working as a substitute teacher at a daycare that I actually graduated from! Every break that I had from school I spent working at the daycare. I worked with children ranging from 3 months to 5 years old. Multiple parents saw how well I worked with their kids and I was even asked to babysit for them. Once I graduated college in May 2019, I came home and was offered an assistant/floater teacher position at my daycare. That same school year I also picked up a part time babysitting job that consisted of me watching and seeing off two lovely girls to the bus every morning from 6am - 8:15am. During Read more this time I was responsible for waking them up, making them breakfast, making sure their school bags were properly packed, and making sure they made it safely onto the bus. I also provided some light dishwashing and cleaning. May 2020 I moved to Raleigh, North Carolina and in August 2020 I began nannying for a wonderful family who had an incredible little boy. He was 3 and was kept home from daycare due to covid. My responsibilities included preparing breakfast and lunch, circle time, and of course having fun! Circle time was when we practiced writing our letters and numbers, completing workbook pages, reading, and many other educational activities. February 2021 they welcomed another precious boy into the family, and in September 2021 my responsibilities shifted to dropping off (and later picking up) the older brother at school and taking care of the little one at home. I recently moved to Charlotte in November 2021 and have since acquired a part-time sitting job a few times a month on the weekend for an 18 month old. My responsibilities for him include feeding dinner and of course play time!
