I have a diverse and expansive background in experience with many different ages, and I enjoy working with every child, even the difficult ones! A little background on me: I come from a large, homeschoolig family, and I have been babysitting and tutoring since I was about ten years old. I love children, and I love teaching, so I took that love and became a self employed nanny and tutor for two boys, age 13 and 10, and a girl, age 9, who needed to be temporarily homeschooled (duration of 1 year). After that, I took several babysitting, pet sitting, and tutoring jobs, and gained important experience and insight. I took a break from self employment, and worked in customer service for a time. After finding that it was not fulfilling enough, I went back to child care, and took a job at the Goddard School of Matthews, as a Read more lead teacher for toddlers (18-24 months). I now find myself in search of a position in which I can have a more personal connection with my employers, as well as the children in my care. Though I would prefer you did not contact my employer at this time, since they are not yet aware of my intention to leave, you may refer to the school's website for information on me, and my position at the school. I'm looking for a part-time position, that is flexible enough that I can attend school as well as travel occasionally, for my music gigs (typically on weekends). My transportation situation: while I do own a car, I would not prefer to use it to transport children, and I cannot take it long distances. I expect this to change soon, since I am in search of another vehicle, but fot he time being, I would prefer not to use my current vehicle on the job. I am comfortable with pets, specifically small to medium dogs and cats however, I am not comfortable with untrained, or aggressive animals. As far as scheduling interviews: I work until 5:30 PM M-F, so depending on the distance and the format, I may be able to schedule an interview during the week. I am available on Saturdays, and some Sunday afternoons/evenings. It’s really up to your schedule, so let me know and I will figure out a way to make it happen! Please be aware that, while I am not anti-vaccine, I have not been vaccinated for COVID, since I do not consider this to be a prudent health choice for me at this time.
