I have worked with children since the age of 12 years old. I have served children in different roles and in different settings such as educator, babysitter, residential care specialist and camp counselor. I have an educational background of Psychology (B.A) with a concentration in child development and Social Work (Masters). Recently, I was a volunteer for Guardian ad Litem, serving children who are apart of the juvenile justice system and worked to gain permanency in most cases. I also have a foundation specifically for children in the foster care system. Fostering Hope Foundation has provided in-kind services/needs with different foster care organizations and partnerships in the Charlotte city for 4 years! have worked with children from ages 0-16 years old with different ethnicities, backgrounds, and needs. I have worked with children who suffered from trauma/neglect, exceptional and others from the community. I am trained in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) Read more techniques, CPR/First-Aid for Child & Adult, Stewards of Children, behavior support techniques, emergencies and natural disasters, cultural competence, diversity and inclusion, and many others! As a nanny, I make it my responsibility to ensure that all the kids I serve have a happy ending. As an educator I have learned how to format lesson plans that cater solely to ones' level and create fun experiences! I have a bubbly and charismatic personality that will provide a fun and safe environment. As a residential care specialist, I have sharpened my multi-tasking skills. While keeping children in my line of sight and also engaging with activities, I am able to clean and prepare for the following day/week.
