Hi! My name is Amy, a recent graduate from UNC Chapel Hill. I currently work at an elementary school as an Behavioral Modification Technician, which means I teach kids social, emotional, and behavioral skills that allow them to regulate their behavior, communicate their emotions, and excel in the classroom. I received my B.A. in Psychology and my B.A.Ed in Human Development and Family Science, so I have a thorough understanding of the needs of children at varying developmental stages as well as the importance of the family system. In terms of experience, I have formally babysat for five years and have taken care of siblings & cousins since I could remember. I also have experience tutoring elementary, middle, and high school students; I was an assistant student teacher for a 3rd grade class in high school; I worked with young adults with autism at TEACCH; and I interned at a Read more counseling clinic that specializes in ADHD. What I'm most passionate about is providing the best possible care for children and people of all ages emotionally, mentally, and physically in order to maintain their utmost wellbeing. In addition, I approach all aspects of my life with sincere compassion, kindness, and a willingness to learn. I will do my absolute best to meet your needs as you entrust me to take care of the most important people in your life.
