Dear family, My name is Lida Ashley, I recently move to the Raleigh-Durham area and I am seeking employment where I may utilize my talents and skills to make a positive impact on families. I earned my bachelor degree in Zoology from my home country, Colombia. This allowed me to participate in Amity, which is a year Intercultural Internship Program that provides the opportunity to gain teaching skills under the direct supervision of a certified teacher in an American classroom. I was a Spanish Teacher assistant at an elementary Spanish Immersion School in Minneapolis, MN. In addition, interns live with host-families that provide board and housing while Amity Scholars serve as living models of language and culture. Interns offer a native perspective on their language, culture and country. The last four years, I have been a student and a part time employee. During this time, I learned English as my Read more second language, worked as a front desk and office clerk while pursuing a Human Resources Management Associate degree. In reading this, I hope you can see that I am always working on improving my own performance, to make myself a swifter and more competitive professional. I have a strong commitment to fully accomplish my duties and responsibilities. I enjoy helping everyone around me. I am a highly proactive and a results driven professional, who enjoys being part of energetic and dynamic families. I grew up in a beautiful family with strong values and respect for each other. I have an identical twin sister which I love with all my heart. I enjoy taking care of and loving her kids as if they were mine. This past year I married a wonderful man with who I look forward to building a family with and spend the rest of my life with.
