Hi! My name is Jaydin Bailey! A little about me: I’m 20 years old and come from a family of 6.. Growing up with 2 younger siblings and an older to keep me in check has shaped my view on what family means to me. My older sister and I always fought over my younger siblings... who would get to hold the baby next! I was homeschooled after the 4th grade, but I’ve taken duel enrollment classes with my local community college as part of my high school and college career. A career of elementary school teaching has been a dream of mine for a while. I have held a professional job since I was 15 years old, and had my driver’s license since my 16th birthday. Wanting kids of my own has been a lifelong goal! I’ve worked with children from 3 months all the way to 15 years old! I’ve always volunteered to babysit and play with younger siblings, cousins, and family friends! I love to serve others and make sure everyone is very well taken care of! A small glimpse of the experience I have working professionally as a childcare employee is: I worked as a summer camp counselor for the YMCA and have gotten many compliments from parents about how I’ve encouraged their children and made them feel comfortable away from home. Teaching camp songs and playing games always put me in a happy mood! My group of 20+ kids always had fun with my plans that day, but also learned quickly, it’s more fun to pay attention and follow the rules. I worked in my homeschool community’s nursery for 2 years with children 0-2. During that employment, I was entrusted with 3-6 children from 0-2 years old.
