My previous childcare experience includes directing youth at church, facilitating for youth conferences around the country (5-8 week sessions, 6 different cycles), being a Kindergarten teacher assistant (1 year), being a 1st/2nd grade combo teacher assistant (1 year), lead teaching at a childcare facility in the 4-5 year old class (over 2 years), caring for a 7-year old autistic child and newborn as a live-in nanny (1 year, until family moved to NY), caring for 3-year old twin girls as their nanny (1 year, until offered job closer to home with better benefits). I have had the privilege of working with children and youth from newborns to high schoolers. I have my certification in early childhood, and am working towards my degree in the same. I do not currently have my CPR/First Aid updated, but will be updating that certification in the next few months. Currently, I am working at Read more an insurance agency, but am a full-time student as well. I attended NC State directly after high school, thought I wanted to go into Marine Biology, and after almost 3 years, decided it wasn't for me, returned home, and started to slowly take classes in education, which is my passion. My parents and some other family members are educators, so it shouldn't have come as much of a surprise when I decided to go into education myself. I am dedicated and passionate in what I do and who I care for during my time as a caregiver, no matter where I am.
