I worked as an individual assistant with special needs children for a few years. I aided in the personal care of each child, such as feeding, potty-training, bathing/grooming and dressing. I provided access to community, social and leisure activities and outings (special needs baseball, church and other events). I assisted with medications and helped with other household tasks, such as cleaning and laundry. I also kept the children occupied in our free time by reading to them, helping them learn and playing games with them. In addition to this position, I’ve babysat(on and off/unpaid) since I was a teenager. I love kids and I think I’d be great fit!
