Hi, My name is Annie Duguid and I am Newborn Care Specialist with over 20 years experience caring for newborns and infants. I have extensive experience with healthy babies as well as preemies, babies with medical concerns and special needs, and many sets of twins, triplets, quadruplets and quintuplets. I provide short term day, night, or around the clock care to new babies. I can provide full care for your baby(ies) while you get caught up on some much needed rest and/or come along side you to demonstrate, answer questions, and support you as you settle into life with a new baby. My goal when I move on, is to leave contented babies on an easy-to-follow flexible routine, and healthy, happy, and confident parents and other caregivers. By gently establishing a good routine and healthy sleep habits, healthy babies can sleep through the night (9-12 hours) by 10-12 weeks of Read more age, without ever having to ‘cry-it-out’. This can be done while still promoting the necessary individual attention, skin-on-skin ‘kangaroo’ care, rocking and soothing, etc. that are so vital to infant brain growth and building healthy, trusting attachments to parents. I am trained in Newborn Care, management of various medical conditions/devices, and CPR and First Aid. I have also spent many years overseas managing the care, medical attention, and love to over 1000 orphaned and abandoned infants to give them a chance to survive and live a healthy, happy, and productive life.
